Best PGs in men's MAC hoops - emu steve - 02-09-2013 09:32 AM

A real topic of concern for EMU fans as we have weak PG play. We like to know what we are going up against.

Cooper and Abreu easily the two best in conference?

Next, Brown at Toledo?

Others?

Kyle Randall(CMU) and Skeete (Buffalo) gave Akron problems this season.

If BGSU's Jordon Crawford took the approach to the game he had against BSU last weekend every day, he'd be in the top tier. He doesn't....so he's not

Oldham from Buffalo should be in top 3 consideration, but he's out for the season.

After Cooper graduates I think it will be down to Oldham and Abreu for top PG next year.

Skeete is filling in well for a freshman but he's a bit more of a combo guard. Oldham is a true PG.

Crawford at BGSU has been the best I've seen

Bean Willis, Texas Tech transfer and nephew of Karl Malone, could be the starting PG for Ohio next year if he beats out Stevie Taylor. Sitting out this year as a transfer, has 2 years of playing time left. 5'11" 170lbs, as a sophomore played 30 minutes/gm, 8pts, 2 assists, 39% from floor, 33% from 3.

Don't know much about him or how much/if he's improving so at this point I have no idea how well he'll do. Either way, big drop off for the Cats at PG next year.

brown would be considered better than abreu is he had a big man like zeke that defenders sagged down on. it will be fun seeing those 2 go head to head next yr.

The problem with Crawford is he's a shoot-first PG. He forces it way too much.
