So this is how it ends - BlazerGrad88 - 11-17-2012 08:01 PM

The 2012 home schedule ends in humbling fashion with a blowout loss to a rival in front of about 300 fans -- many of whom are family members of players, band members, etc., and "have" to be there.

This isn't what an FBS football team's crowd should ever look like regardless of the circumstances. Is it time to ask some hard questions about the long-term viability of UAB football?

A ton of people left at the begining of the forth quarter. my family and I were almost hit by several boosters throwing themselves over the side of the old gray b!%#h!

RE: So this is how it ends - Smaug - 11-17-2012 08:09 PM

We haven't won more games than we lost in a season since 2004.

Kids in the 3rd grade have never seen us have a winning season.

Every single time we build a little momentum, a little good will, we squander it with a complete no-show like today, and by 'no-show' I mean ON the field.

The circumstances do matter.

Rocket: Understood, but note the part about "regardless of the circumstances."

I stayed til about 4:00 left. It was bad.

RE: So this is how it ends - ATTALLABLAZE - 11-17-2012 08:13 PM

We just need to win. The talent level was worse than we thought and it will take two more recruiting years to field a consiststant winner. Maybe we squeak out 6 next season? Look how many Freshman we are playing.

RE: So this is how it ends - Smaug - 11-17-2012 08:14 PM

We are playing one hell of a lot of freshmen. Thanks for the reminder, AB. I'm feeling pretty demoralized.

& one of them can't even walk.

This thread is stupid.

Maybe you can make it more intelligent by suggesting the Bones trophy should be melted down.

McGee has more space in his office now.

No.

I can't believe I'm having to pull out the Charles Nelson Reilly again twice in one year...

As long as you ask the related question of UAB basketball in the A-Sun or Big South, go for it. Let us know what you come up with...

Or the A10 or whatever new creations come from all this realignment crap. I am not for ending football, but I do get tired of that comeback being thrown out there. Franlkly, the new CuSA won't be much better than the A-Sun or Big South

RE: So this is how it ends - ATTALLABLAZE - 11-18-2012 08:11 AM

Don't know if I would go that far. This is all silly talk.

RE: So this is how it ends - ATTALLABLAZE - 11-18-2012 10:07 PM

Oh and now be proud because Jon Soloman has re-tweeted this video and using it as ammo to take shots at UAB. I love ya bro but our enemies don't need any more ammo.

I guess the little hate monger will read this thread and spin it into a shut down the program article. Soloman is a sorry piece of monkey poo

RE: So this is how it ends - the_blazerman - 11-18-2012 10:15 PM

Reposting what I posted in another thread:

Solomon was begging for pictures of attendance & not only did he get a picture, he got damn video of it.

Sorry, if they would get their heads out of their asses, they would realize that it happens everywhere.

USM is having their worst season ever. Care to look at attendance? Yes, it is still better than what we have, but imagine 8 ******* years of what we have seen & calculate what their attendance would be.

Auburn. Won a damn national championship (or paid for it, whatever) & look at their attendance when they lose.

It happens everywhere.

Should the team & coaching staff turn this thing around, you will find ******** everywhere saying that they have been there all along.

True UAB fans know the truth. The true UAB fans I will take in a heartbeat over the redneck trash gump loving cousin kissing trailer trash fans that other schools have.

RE: So this is how it ends - tibber - 11-18-2012 10:15 PM

Fine, I'll say it. Yes, the questions need to be asked. All we've gotten so far is Neil Callaway 2.0. Neil got 5 years. UAB doesn't have that long.

RE: So this is how it ends - ATTALLABLAZE - 11-18-2012 10:18 PM

Questions like that can help to kills program faster than our enemies.
