David's portrayal provided a much deeper character. I completely agree about the Michonne point.

The writers have said there's only one end to this show... Everyone dies.

But it's interesting to note that while it's like 99% sure that Glen's dead... He wasn't in the "say goodbye" section of the Talking Dead, and we never saw him actually die (remember, the weirdo guy fell on top of Glen in those walkers.... Maybe he crawled under the dumpster? Though I gotta admit, if they pull that, it might be jumping the shark).

The show runner just said in a note on Talking Dead that "Glen will return in future episodes, either alive, in flashbacks or parts of him."

Just remember, no matter what happens...this happens:

Not knocking you sleepy, but I hate that ET ruined that surprise. (Side note: That's jesus in the beanie)

Of course, I always thought they painted themselves into a true no win situation:
- Glenn is a main character. To have him go out because he caught a dead guy's falling body was lame. Noah went out like a champ, and they did this to Glenn? Weak sauce.
- If they have Glenn survive... That's just jumping the shark BIG time. No way they can legitimately explain him surviving that herd of zombies with no bullets.

So they were screwed when they wrote that scene, no matter how it ends up.

I truly hope they can pull off Glenn escaping alive without it being too over the top. I think once he gets all the blood and guts on him, the zombies will ignore him and he can make his escape once the rest are distracted by something.

The theory I read was that this was the time to introduce Jesus (Beanie man). He does something that distracts the zombies enough for Glenn to hide in the dumpster, thus starting in process the storyline of Hilltop.

Another theory that was floating around was that the entire scene was in Nick's head and it didn't really happen. I REALLY hope that isn't the case, because it's a TOTAL cop out.

Some have theorized also that Glenn escapes, but is bitten. So he can complete the storyline arc that the redshirt guy (the note writer, who just HAD to get back to Betsy) started. So Glenn survives long enough to get back to Alexandria, tell Maggie he loves her and the whole thing was worth it because he met her, she can tell Glenn that she's carrying his love child, and then he croaks (with Maggie killing Zombie Glenn).

This also would set in motion the the story of Maggie being pissed at Rick, and leaving the group for Hill top. Coincidentally, it also spares the TV show from having to have Glenn meet the horrible fate that awaits him with Neegan (who I don't think is cast yet, though I've heard a few names... Personal favorite for it would be Henry Rollins).

Great to get the back story on Morgan . . . .

Jefferey Dean Morgan as Negan. He's going to slay and hit a home run.

. . . and it's official, Glen lives . . .

Thoughts on the first two episodes of 6B?

I liked episode 9, especially killing off Jessie and her useless family. Only downside was she was easy on the eyes. Also Kudos to TWD for showing a kid getting savagely eaten. No one, including youngins, should be immune from getting ripped apart on the small screen.
I'd grown to sort of like the Wolf so I was bummed when Carol shot him. But on the flipside, Carol finally got to do to him what she wanted to do from the beginning (kill him). So, in your face Morgan.
Glenn escapes certain death yet again due to impeccable timing by Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha. Although how often can one person (Daryl) bail others out of crappy situations without it looking like the show is keeping his character around as a sort of Deus ex machina? (think the Eagles in the LOTR and The Hobbit)

Episode 10 was good. Maybe a little too peaceful for my liking. But you need those types of episodes (for character development and resolution) to give you the highs whenever the first Negan episode finally appears.

RE: OT: The Walking Dead on AMC - TheRevSWT - 02-24-2016 08:36 PM

In the opening scene of episode 9, when Daryl does his thing with the Saviors (Negan's boys), it was noted that there was a car driving off in the WAY background. If you google it, you can see SOMETHING, though I don't know it was a car (could have just been someone WAY in the back of the shot accidentally got in it).

Supposedly, that was Negan watching the activity, and so he will be gunning for Daryl.

SPOILER TIME!

Since Negan doesn't make an official appearance on the show until the season finale, that is when one of the core members of the show dies. Current theory is that it will be Daryl, and his death will be retribution for blowing up Negan's guy. So, Daryl will take the place of Glenn's death from the comics.

That theory makes sense, as Reedus has some show set to debut next year (I believe) where he's on a motorcycle touring the world or something to that effect. Tough to film to series at the same time, particularly given those two types of series.

Not really, the show has wrapped for the season until the summer so he can film his non scripted show now and in the spring.

Yeah, I sort of got the feeling that it may be Daryl being killed off instead of Glenn. Don't know why. Maybe because I feel that's one big shocker the show can pull on the comic readers, whereby they think Glenn is about to get the wire bat to the head, but it will actually end up being Daryl.

Kinda interesting though on this week's episode when they were talking about the "trade" with Hilltop how rick said it won't cost them anything, and then Maggie followed it up with "it'll cost us something."
