I was already put off by him being a former member of the Fed and saying the Fed didn't need to be audited ... but this is the last straw.

When I listened to Eric Ericson's radio show (editor of RedState and the guy who took over Cain's timeslot) Cain called in and was asked about his support of TARP.
He said he supported the idea, but thought that it was poorly managed and extended beyond the scope that he was comfortable with. FWIW.

I have great respect for what Herman Cain has achieved in life, and he is every bit as qualified to be president as the incumbent, or the other "usual suspects" of both parties who always get their names mentioned in the media.
But, aside from all that, he has about the same chance of being nominated President (by either of the two major parties) as the people who post on this website. Everyone here understands that, right?

As long as people who have accomplished nothing in life have a better chance to become president than people who have actually accomplished something, we're going to be poorly governed.
Look at the last five presidential candidates. Obama, McCain, Shrub, Kerry, Gore. Probably the biggest accomplishment of the five was McCain getting shot down in Vietnam. What does that say about our process?

Exactly WHAT has Obama accomplished? What has he actually DONE? He's BEEN some interesting things, but he doesn't actually appear to have DONE anything useful while he was being any of those things.
I'm very serious. I simply can't assign much value to anything he has ever DONE. If you can identify something useful that he has accomplished, I'd be interested in knowing what it was.
And this is not political, I can't think of anything useful that any of them have done. Our political system is like Chance the Gardner on steroids. These guys may not have gotten there on a whim, but it wasn't much more than a whim.

How does having a white mother make his "accomplishments" any more impressive? Yes, life must have been brutal for him as he was ushered through private schools in Hawai'i.
All he has done since becoming a career politician is to win an election, then immediately start campaigning for the next higher up position.
