- nickdanger - 07-30-2004 11:40 PM Denver may have finaly found a logical home!![B][B] Here is a link to the Honolulu Advertiser saying that the WAC has been talking to Denver. http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/...0/sp/sp06a.html If this happens it makes a lot of sense and being in the WAC will only help Denver build their men's basketball program. I think the key will be for Denver to add baseball and then they will finaly be in a logical conference. I would have rather seen the MWC with Air Force, CSU and Wyoming but the WAC is not a bad choice. Let's hope that they realize not everyone has to have football to have a strong athletic program. - untbowler - 07-31-2004 06:57 AM This great for Denver and I would only wish them the best. They were a great partner in the Sun Belt but the WAC is a better fit. If they leave then North Texas is the Western Outpost. Not a bad Regional Conference. - badgerwolf - 07-31-2004 08:08 AM I agree the MWC would be a great fit for you guys, but the WAC is certainly better for you geographically than the SBC. The WAC is headquartered in Denver and needs a presence there. You guys will be a good fit for the WAC and I wish you the best of luck!!! |
