Two games are hardly enough to constitute a streak.

But a trend can be built around any consistency.

Panic hasn't set in after MTSU suffered its second straight loss Sept. 25, a 24-17 defeat at Louisiana-Lafayette. However, it's very evident that even the Blue Raider players are seeing an unsettling pattern with their play.

It seems every MTSU player capped his postgame remarks Sept. 25 with the word "again" — an indication that frustration is setting in for a team that has lost each of the last two games by seven points.

"We've been losing for like two years, and everybody's tired of it," said sophomore linebacker Marcel Horne. "We practice harder than anybody, and we feel like we can beat the teams were losing to. Now, we have to practice even harder and just go at again and hope things work out for us next time."

Next time will come at North Texas Saturday, the Blue Raiders' second straight Sun Belt opponent.

IMHO, much of their problem is Mac is a good recruiter, not a good coach.

I have pondered the striking similarities between the version of Middle Tennessee football we have seen as of late and the programs that he has coached at before--Baylor and Texas-El Paso.
