Is there any chance we add Oregon State as an affiliate member of the Big 12 for Wrestling next year?

Also, depending on what happens with the next round of conference realignment I think Big 12 Wrestling could come out benefitting the most if the ACC falls apart. If NC and Virginia go to SEC and Big 12 adds NC State, Virginia Tech, Louisville, and Pitt for example. Then the SEC will have four wrestling programs. I don’t think they will sponsor wrestling with only four teams. Big 12 could keep OU and Missouri, then add NC and Virginia as affiliates. At that point we could add Oregon State, Stanford, and Duke as affiliates. We could also keep Northern Iowa and South Dakota State as affiliates and drop all of our other affiliates if necessary. Then you are looking at having this as the Big 12 Wrestling Conference:

Realignment is crazy right now and trying to figure out how wrestling ends up takes it a step further.

adding Oregon State would be good, especially since Chris Pendleton is the coach there.

Other than that - realignment is dead, unless and until some court rulings come out next season.
