BG Gets Michigan Transfer
Former Michigan player Youssef Khayat 6’9, announced he will transfer to BG. He was on Michigan’s team for 2 years but played sparingly due to injury. Played in France prior to that. Has 2 years of eligibility.

Just information on a rival. Disregard it if you want.

Of course, any MAC transfer news is relevant. Thanks for posting.

BG is getting some good transfers, I don’t know that we are.

BG got two players who barely played at their previous schools. We got a player with JT Shumate-like numbers and an all-MAC freshman/double digit scorer. So far, I'd say we got the better transfers based on their production in their college careers up to this point.

It could go here...https://csnbbs.com/thread-988335.html...we don't need a thread about a bgSUCKS recruit.

This Coaching Staff's has done an overall excellent job filling in roster needs via the Transfer Portal over the years so until proven otherwise, I feel good with the 2 players they got coming in this Fall. Stay tuned, I think there is one more domino to fall.

Sorry you don’t like the post, but I’ll post where I want to post. If you don’t like it don’t open it. There are people on this board who like to hear what our chief rival is doing.

RE: BG Gets Michigan Transfer
I would prefer BG win 30 games and lose to us twice. Simon is doing a good job there. he can coach and attract players year to year which is really helpful these days. he took a pretty devastated roster and won 20 games (albeit with a light OOC schedule). I think they'll be interesting next year again once their roster settles in.

Khayat looks the part. big strong blond haired Lebanese kid who has a decent shot and moves pretty good. not a bad piece next to their 7 foot stretch 5 guy.

RE: BG Gets Michigan Transfer
Echoing Pono, BG scheduled their ooc very light last year (Siena Heights, Ohio Dominican etc.) would like to see them buff that up for the sake of the MAC and our rating as a conference. And the way things are shaping up, I think they'll be able to handle it, both Braelon Green and Khayat look like great players on tape. Speaking in fairness, I would be enthralled if those two made up our recruiting class so far, don't freak out on me, I still like ours. Simon somehow has an ability to get kids to come to the wood county college town, props to him, many coaches have not been able to do so. Curious how they fill out, the status of Marcus Hill (staying or going), and how they will look going into next season.

I don't think they know yet if Spurgin will return for another season.

Maybe, but his brother likely won't even see the court next year either. He has options his younger brother doesn't have. Either a transfer or playing in Europe.

RE: BG Gets Michigan Transfer
true, although pro ball back home in Australia is pretty good too. Would be kinda weird for him and his brother to reunite at BG and then split up the next yr for his final season.

Not sure if any chance Hill returns but he was more of a bridge recruit to me. really good ball dominant scorer who didn't really run much offense at PG. exactly what they needed short on weapons last yr, but not really the type of PG you can win big with because all he does is score and his game is beating you 1 on 1 off the dribble.
