Just saw it passed thru Russellville, which is not that far from Jonesboro. I know when we played up there in March the announcers talked quite a bit about it, and how people were prepping for an on-slaughter of tourists.

And the video from the Dallas zoo was pretty awesome. We would’ve been in the +88% range here, but it has been raining and very cloudy all day

I’m not setup for sun moon shots. But I do enjoy the unusual shadows.

Just hit our max here in Huntington area. Guessing 85% or so. Was a sliver. Still pretty light out considering most of the sun removed. A little light goes a long way, pun intended.

This was during the totality. The bright part was the corona and could be viewed with the naked eye. I could also see red projections, but they did not show up in the photo.

That shot is better than mine. I tried with my phone, and it looked similar. The sun flare on the edges create that bullseye effect, even though it was during the total eclipse.

Super cloudy here. Best shot I could get with my phone was this sliver as it got near its max for us (which I think was like 90%).

EDIT: Any rivers flowing backwards from what y'all could tell?

Mine was with my phone too. Regardless, doesn’t do it justice.

No reports of the Arkansas or Mississippi flowing backwards (phew!)
It’s amazing how much light the tiniest sliver of sun still gives right before it’s at 100%.

That's about what we had here in Central Va. The outdoor light got a bit weird, course I didn't have the glasses so was a bit surprised the Sun was as bright as it was at 83-87%

What's the word for light that gets muddied, or modeled or something? Can't recall, it got like that...

My vote is for #3. Very cool.

I'd print that and frame it!

Where are you?

Chicago looked exactly like this...95 percent ...downstate was 100%

The reversed shadows everywhere were pretty wild to see / disorienting

Its been really cloudy today in central Texas but luckily the clouds broke when totality happened. It was pretty surreal how it seemed to instantly get dark yet gradually get brighter after the fact.

RE: Solar eclipse today!
Funny story. Had a meeting with a farmer today at his farm and it happened to be as the eclipse was just beginning. He was unaware of the eclipse. Kinda seemed unaware of what an eclipse was. Before I left to join my wife for the show the farmer and about 15 farm hands had welding masks on watching the eclipse going nuts. Funny as crap watching about 15 Mexicans sharing 5 masks. Needless to say the meeting was unproductive.
