I'm discounting their chances of even getting out of the ACC to begin with... unlikely, IMHO
Relax man. Just an interview between Kurtz and a guy from the Tampa Bay Times. Hopefully something more than the amateur speculation that all of us can provide on the FSU situation.

Kurtz is pretty good, I've enjoyed watching his videos. Doubt this ever happens, but it's interesting to look at all the possible scenarios that could play out.

Media people and many fans keep talking about "more realignment, more realignment." There will eventually be more schools moving to new conferences, no doubt about that. Right now, though, I think that the "power" conferences will stop temporarily and spend a few years dealing with the new alignments they're going to have starting next season.

I disagree, I think they will get out, Probably 175 to 225 million when all is said and done. Odds of FSU to B12 .00000000000000000000000002% odds for clemson 1.5%.
I think both will be in BIG in 2 or at most 3 years. Probably at a discount .. maybe 60 million.
NC will have landing spot as well if they want to leave. VA probably 75% chance at SEC along with NC.

I agree. I think one more "raid", of the ACC - then a pullback, to try to process all these changes.
will it be "P3"? Or, will there still be a "P4", with some frankenstein mash of leftover ACC, leftover PAC, and some G6 schools? With so much money floating around, I think the leftovers are going to go to the mat, to try to maintain P4.
ain't no scenarios going to play out unless FSU gets relief in court, which is seemingly unlikely from most reports.
Lack of 'clear language' stalls case, forces FSU to file amended complaint
The biggest takeaway from the hearing was Judge Cooper's ruling that FSU needs to amend its lawsuit to keep its challenge alive.
What's at stake is the location of the hearing and the court's authority to hear a case and hand out a decision. The judge said FSU needed to sharpen its argument.
Peter Rush, FSU's legal representative in the case, told Judge Cooper he only needed a week to amend the complaint and file after a judicial order is given, though Cooper granted them 10 days.
Once that happens, the ACC will be given 20 days to respond to the amended complaint before a third hearing date is set.

FSU lawyers screwed up and judge told them what they needed to do to fix it. To me he was telegraphing he was going to give them favorable ruling once it is done. He did the same when he looked right at the ACC lawyers while telling them to go into mediation.

If the ACC were to breakup some would be B12 and B10. And some would be AAC like WAKE.
I agree, they have had enough back door talks to know BIG is waiting with open arms.
The SEC might take them, but they really have no need for them. SEC is much more likely to go after NC and VA.
The best B12 can hope for is Big and SEC grab 4 to 6, and AAC Tv deal suffers enough for others to leave. Any 4 of UL, Pitt, NC state, Duke, VT, and maybe even Gt, would be huge grab for B12. I don't see the ACC going away, even if 10 schools left they still have 7. Add SD state Wash St, OR St, out west and USF, Memphis, Tulane East for a better than anything else G5 has and move on. 12 to 18 mil TV plus one auto bid and 7 to 10 mil from playoffs and they would be the Middle tier conf. rest of G5 gets one auto bid.
