Excitement continues
UC-San Diego 38 Chicago State 38 at the half. We get the winner, if we can get by Fairfield tomorrow.

RE: Excitement continues
Well so far the 2 CBI games have gone down to the final second, and been more exciting that about 90% of the NCAA tournament games. Don't tell me the players don't want to play, no matter what arguments were made by the chicken-sh-t coaches that skipped the NIT. It may not be quite as "pretty" as some of the better NCAA tournament matchups, but all the players have been playing their butts off.

I follow Chicago State, and they are a deceptive team. No true big men. They remind me of the Nevada teams of a few years back. But they will get to the basket. Outstanding young coach. They were the only true independent in D1, but they have a home next season in the NEC (another casualty of the realignment greed).

And, CSU is fairly fearless. They beat Northwestern just after they had made it into the Top 25. After all, they have nothing to lose.

The scare me for that reason. Also, if we are lucky enough to play in the second round, I'd rather our season ended against a 21 win team than a team that won 9 DI games this season. They do have nothing to lose and want to prove their invitation to postseason play was not a "joke". I guess they already proved it beating the 2-seed.
