let's keep it real, shall we? UVA getting over OU was a low point for the committee, and so many BigEast teams not making it in was also a black eye for the committee.

Subscriptions = Eyeballs. Semantics.

naw.... Peacock subscriptions did not increase because of the NCAA tournament, at least not enough to be considered in that light in this conversation.

In fact, I believe that CBS actually blew it by putting the "blue blood" teams on Channel 2 in blow out games, while many of the really good games were hidden away on the CBS affiliates.

This “ blue blood “ league that is being created want last long IMO…
There are so many other collegiate sports programs with a growing fan base that still has a lot more room to grow
Disney and the unregulated broadcasting industry are trying to kill American sports , just like what they did to bud light and it worked , I never liked bud light but they got there boycott
Same happening with this blue blood league I mean I’ll never watch that so it’s working, it’s a win win for the Marxist deep state which ever way I chose…
Oh and go red cougars beat Aggie… again
I smell a sweet sixteen

and to think, the B12 could be harder next season, Losing Texas (NCAA), OU (declined NIT), and gaining Arizona #2 seed, Colorado (won 1st round), and Utah (NIT)

Not a very successful first week for Big XII teams in this NCAA tournament. Baylor, KU, TexasTech, TCU, BYU, Texas already gone. Houston trying to hang on vs. Texas A&M. Only Iowa State has so far advanced to the Sweet 16. Very disappointing performance by the Conference. UCF and K-State already eliminated in the NIT.

Have 5 guys stand on the 3 point line and switch everything.

That's awful stuff from a great coach

Coogs made it close, but Jamal is a beast and wasn't going to let this team lose.

That last foul on him was mighty suspect, but hell, most of the fouls on the Coogs were questionable, but it is what it is and the Coogs fought through all of it and sent the Gomer's home!

Coogs don't care about style points and winning pretty!

GO COOGS!!!!

Baylor settled for too many threes in their game. I kept yelling for their point guard DJay to stop passing and take it to the basket. He was unstoppable.

RE: NCAA Tournament Thread
Interesting tidbit concerning the Coog OT win last night, and escaping to the S16... this win reminded me of Michigan's run the 2018 tournament, where Michigan was losing most of the game to UH, and down by 2 in the final seconds and they made a prayer 3-pt'r at the buzzer to advance to the S16. They then mauled agy to make it to the E8, and outlasted Florida St. to make it to the Final Four.

I think this close call was just what the Coogs needed to find out what they are made of, and I believe they will be highly motivated vs dook.

I don't believe UH has ever played the dookies before - we've played just about every other team in NC but them - so this will be a historic game for the Coogs!

How well are tickets sales going with the Houston fanbase in Dallas? Do you think you'll have a favorable home court advantage? Or do you think every Duke fan in Texas is going to show up?

I'm totally shocked that ISU lost to Illinois... clearly ISU didn't play up to their capability, I don't remember Mocilovik (sp?) having such a bad shooting night, he was ice cold.

Only the Coogs left in the Dance to represent the XII now.

I know the team isn't worried about being the only XII team, I mean how many times were they the only AAC team left Dancing before? But I hope the Coogs show up with their game faces on and put in on the dookies and carry the XII flag to the F4 or beyond!

GO COOGS!!!!

Single elimination tournament. They were 11-25 on layups. That's how you get eliminated.

I mean, the XII teams' metrics throughout the season and their performances against teams from other conferences, it all pointed the same direction, that the XII is the best conference. What else can the pollsters and selection committee go by?

If the Tournament had been played in December or January, I bet the outcomes would likely be different. But clearly some teams did not play up to their potential. Baylor, ISU, and TTech are teams that I feel definitely should still be dancing, but they didn't look that great in the games that bounced them from the tournament.

I know it happens, but who knows WHY it happens? I just feel like when UH played all the XII teams during the regular season, it was a real war. Heck, aggie isn't that great, had a mediocre season and middle of the SEC standing, but they went crazy in the last few minutes against us in the last game, making crazy shots.

Add that Arizona also lost to a lower seed, and it isn't just the XII teams that got ambushed by March Madness.

Its tempting to think the XII isn't what it's hyped up to be, but it sure felt like it when the regular season was being played. It just didn't carry over into the Tournament.

I'm not shocked at all. We were due for a bad offensive game- we've had intermittent clunkers all season.

Momcilovic is a true freshman. He's been streaky all year. Prior to the Big 12 tournament he was ice cold as well. A year ago at this time Tamin Lipsey couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Now he's one of our most consistent 3 point shooters.

Already looking forward to next season. We already picked up a stud at center in the portal, so hopefully we'll come back with a little more muscle under the basket. We were bullied on the glass a bit last night.

Is Houston going to have home court advantage tonight?

I'm expecting it to be. A couple years ago when the regional finals were in San Antonio, there was a large UH home crowd. Dallas is maybe 50-ish miles farther than SA is from Houston, so distance shouldn't factor in.
