This behavior will only get worse. Especially from the B1G and SEC guys. They’re already making more money than they know what to do with, yet that’s not enough for these greedy and arrogant people.

In basketball it's Power and Mid Major.

I have hated Izzo since he got the refs to do his dirty work to assure a win over NMSU in the 2010 NCAA Tournament. All he does is cry to the refs courtside. Hopefully he retires soon. His best days are well behind him.

Guess Izzo is still a little butthurt over 15 seed Middle Tennessee smacking down his #2 seed Meeshegunn State a few years ago!

So, let me get this straight. The guy who struggles to win first round games ostensibly wants even harder first round games? Because he often gets the benefit of way too high of a seed where he's often playing teams much less resourced than his in the first round. You can't fix stupid. But you definitely can't fix stupid and entitled at the same time.

They're already trying to limit the pool. Go look at how many so called mid majors are playing another mid major in the first round. Helps them dilute the pool faster.

He doesn't care about the difficulty of the first game, he cares about the name on the jersey. Losing to Mississippi State? Not a great look, but hey, they are in the SEC. Losing to MTSU? Unforgivable, egg on face, tarnished legacy, yada-yada. The same reason the big boys won't schedule us OOC is the reason they don't want to play us in the NCAA tournament. Because they know the gap in performance isn't nearly as large as the gap in money.

I'm going to stop using P4 and P2 and just start referring to these imaginary subdivisions as G5 and GG.
