Oooooof, three years of academic work at a school like Cornell to then settle for a Summit County Community College diploma. 03-lmfao

Right?! lol he must have been looking to rest his brain and just focus on basketball after going through the academic rigors of Cornell.

Cornell didn't play in 20-21 because of COVID which would've been his Freshman season. So he spent 4 years as a student at Cornell. If memory serves from Gala Cancer coming to Kent Cornell doesn't allow graduate students to play basketball. So my guess would be he's just like Cancer. Graduated from Cornell with 1 year of eligibility left and transferred our of necessity not choice.

Akron > Ithaca. Worst place I ever lived by far.

LOL! I saw "Akron > Ithaca" and for some reason I thought Attica...which would be a great step forward for some parts of Akron. The last few times I was in Ithaca I thought it was nice, but passing through and living somewhere are much different. I've lived in Akron.

The extent that you don't realize how little there is in most of New York state can't be overstated. Ithaca is boring, in the middle of nowhere, the nearest 'big' city is Syracuse or Rochester, which is about a hour away (if you drive fast down country roads) and those cities make Akron look like it's a happening place. I'll say the natural scenery around Ithaca is pretty and it doesn't have mosquitoes. Give me the Cuyahoga Valley any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The Finger Lakes are pretty cool. Ithaca is the single worst town in the Finger Lakes region. Give me Canandaigua or Penn Yan.

I often wonder if everything going on at Duquesne makes Akron fans sick to their stomachs. It's gotta be hard to stomach that had Dambrot never left Joyce would've been groomed to be their next HC and likely the James kids (and probably a boat load of NIL money) would be headed their way.

The James kids would have been headed their way like Jayden Quaintance is headed ours. Never in a million years.

Duquesne ain't all that much better than Akron. I think this was the first time they made the tournament in close to 50 years. If they wind up at Duquesne because of Joyce I definitely think there is a chance they could've wound up at their dad's home town school because of him too. If one of Q's closest childhood friends was our coach and Jayden had a bad freshman year then the comparison would be similar.

I get the difference between the two situations - also, they ain't going to Duquesne.

I could see LeBron sending decent $ to Duquesne (and to Akron if a friend coached there). I’d be shocked if “The Chosen Ones” ego would let either son stoop down and play at any Mid Major school.

Like Danny said, zero chance. If Lebron wanted his kids closer to “home” they’d go to Ohio State.

Lebron himself via his own bank account doesnt send money anywhere. I'll give him credit as he gets his sponsors, business partners and hanger on's to donate all the $$

Kid's a great athlete, so I can see him being a very good college player. Remember Larry Nance, Jr was 4 ppg, 4 rpg as a freshman at Wyoming. He's a decade into a fine NBA career.

I don't know anything about Furman or the situation - and maybe there was some money involved, but their facilities are top notch.

I hope Sullinger took philosophy at Kent because he's going to be taking 2 theology and 2 philosophy courses next year otherwise.
