MyBB Hoops Quiz
With Little Rock and Arkansas State playing in the CBI Tournament, I offer you this quiz:

When was the last time at least two in-state teams played in a post-season tournament other than the NCAA?

I'll be back with the answer this afternoon. Good luck. 04-cheers

Not sure if it is the last time, but in 1986-87, both LR and UAF went to the NIT. That was the year we went to the NIT Final Four at MSG.

Actually, you're close. In fact, three in-state schools (UA, UALR & ASU) were in the 1987 NIT. Remember the OT thriller at Barnhill Arena between ASU and the Razorbacks?

Wow. I forgot that was the same year. I now remember, everyone expected the NIT to the match us up with the hogs (there were no brackets back then), but instead they sent them to play Nebraska. Not sure if Cal was our next game, but we did play them on the way to NYC.

RE: Hoops Quiz
Alright, fans! The answer to the Hoops trivia is...The last time at least 2 in-state teams played in a post-season tournament other the NCAA Tournament was in the 1988 NIT Tournament, where UALR and ASU took part. While the Trojans lost at Barton Coliseum in the 1st round to Karl Malone and Louisiana Tech, ASU went as far as the Quarterfinals, where they lost at Colorado State. Thanks for playing!
