Gotta admit, I saw this kid play several times during his Senior year at K-Central. I remember thinking “why isn’t anyone recruiting this kid?”. Solid shooter, good size, good athlete, excellent ball handler. Played with a ton of attitude (seemed kinda cocky actually). Now…I have no idea if he’ll ever even see the floor for us or not but I’m pretty certain he does have some tools. More than anything, seemed like a good ball handler for his size.

Good question regarding White and Monegro. This is either a new portal development or an egregious, monumental, uninformed oversight by our beloved MLive scribe. I’m guessing the latter. Hope I’m wrong.

I also suspect an Mlive writer that didn’t do his homework.
Who just happens to be CMU grad.

So how long does coaching staff save a spot for a possible return?

Transfers to Texas A&M - “power 5”. All the resources.

Transfers to WMU for probably 100k. One of the worst-off programs in D1. And while being a BIG opened up a lot of movement and pleasing aesthetics to our offense, he still missed a lot of bunnies.

Where is he going next?

Javonte Brown is Canadian so if on Student Visa like Zach Edey not eligible for NIL money when in the US.
Zach complained about this in some interviews.
