You wonder how pitino feels after knowing they had him signed prior to taking that job and not knowing what hed blossom into.

I believe it. Maybe the only thing that would convince him to stay is a deep tourney run. It's really amazing FAU was able to keep everyone after their Final 4 run. If we only lose Yax, EG, and JD I think we will be OK next year. If we lose more than (CC, Butta, AJ, TT, Ortiz) it will be bad.


Still, it's devastating to know that before our season is even over.

will see , the guy staying at uab and be a high draft choice will be his best bet but it seem very strange just before the tournament , the way is try to win at the last UAB defeat ,,,tell me that he is not going anywhere

The problem is the NIL agents who won’t get a job. They are the ones floating offers via DMs.

The agents will get a cut just like they do in the pro sports.

I'm not worried about it yet. Seems very suspect timing.

No coincidence at all, the same information warfare that's waged against every non-Cartel program during the tournament to disrupt team chemistry and morale. It used to be aimed at coaches, now NIL/portal has extended that to players.

Anyone trying to lure Yaxel had better have room for Marquis and Ransom, too.

The matchup against LeDee is definitely a chance for Yax to shine, or get exposed. LeDee is essentially a slightly bigger, better version of Yax right now. If he shows out against a player of that caliber, his stock could go through the roof - more than it already is.

Can we not get Ox Foundation to sponsor him and give him the nickname of Yax the Ox?

Eh, it’s a little more vetted than that. It’s a service I pay for to stay up to date on the portal & coaching carousel. The guy’s hit rate has been pretty solid since I joined and he mentioned Yax this morning. Im going to guess there’s a few BlazerTalk folks in there too since I’ve seen people asking about EG & AK lately.

Trilly Donovan was hitting for us 2 and 3 years ago. He didn’t seem to know last year. Him or Andrew Slater.

Zeno was supposed to be gone too yet he is still here.

Wasn't he committed to a Northeastern school (St. John's) and then decommited to come here? I'd just find it hard to believe that he'd go to another school up there after turning down a power conference opportunity before.

I mean, there's a possibility he does, but it would be a surprise to me.
