Good, he must be something special ! I thought Wilson could have use a red shirt year, before we all found out that Ray J was going to leave.

Not to hijack the thread, but when watching Baylor and Texas Tech this weekend, the announcers mentioned RJ is leading the Big 12 in assists. He is definitely comfortable there. Just FYI, since RJ was mentioned.

Wilson likely would have been RayJ’s backup if RayJ stayed. When you bring in a prominent recruit you probably won’t red shirt him unless he agrees. Otherwise you might lose him to the portal.

RayJ had an excellent regular season at Baylor as he was named 2nd Team All Big 12 in the toughest conference in the country this season. Some Bracket Projections have Baylor as a #3 Seed facing #14 Seed Toledo in the First Round of The Big Dance. Wouldn't that be something if that transpired -- RayJ vs. his former team who he still remains close with! Let's get in before we get to excited about that happening!

The one game I reffed Ode, I saw flashes of Jordan Lauf except a better scorer. I think he’ll be good and it’ll be interesting to see how he fits into the rotation next season

Got to get there first, but if by chance they do - I hope this doesn't happen. I have to root for Toledo, and I really don't want to root against Ray J. I hope he shines in the tournament (but not against us).

I hope Ray J scores 25 in Baylor’s first NCAA game and that Baylor loses 127-25.

I also saw this comparison. Lauf was a pretty good shooter but needed time square up and didn't shoot off the dribble. Ode looks more versatile to me. He's also got a little more bounce. Of course, Lauf's athleticism was limited by his injuries.

RE: Tyler Ode
Tyler Ode was the top High School free throw shooter in Michigan according to the website for the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan.

He made 116 of 128 FT attempts for 90.68% of attempts. Not too shabby!
