Always Tarleton.

Great first half by Tarleton, up 2 over UT Arlington. The game is very physical but now-a-days all basketball is super physical. One Arlington player already disqualified from game, but I did not see the play or event so I don't know what it was for. Bed time.

Supposedly for a sac tap, but the replay was useless.

Was a horrible replay. We need to see it from different viewpoint.

Coaching staff getting chippy now too. If I didn't know any better, this is a rivalry game.

Great game and congrats to UTA.

This was a game between evenly matched teams and UTA comes out on top.

Proud of my team.

Tarleton is the best transitional team I have seen or have known.

This Tarleton UTA rivalry might become a thing.

We just need some cannons, planes and bond fires and this could develop into something.

Or maybe we just have three more MBB games like we had this year.

Didn't stay up for the UTA/Tarleton game. I was disappointed in SU as they let GCU walk away with it in the final stretch. Now it's up to UTA to take GCU out.

Yes, this could be big. I feel sorry for the schools that left the WAC, especially Lamar, UIW and Sam. They could've enjoyed quite an in-state rivalry with Tarleton, UTA and SFA.

Are they getting into that Vegas tournament to win a million bucks?

How cool would that be?

I’ve seen several big boys declining NIT invites.

RE: WAC VEGAS!
Great game, and hats off to UtA for hitting those shots down the stretch. Tarleton needs a legit rival in D1 Basketball, like ACU in Football, but let’s not get out of hand here. Tarleton is 4-1 against the Mavs in the D1/WAC era, and it could/should be said that we gave that one away last night. I’m actually somewhat glad that we did, because I personally feel GCU should have to EARN its trip to the dance, and I’ll definitely be rooting for the 817 over the publicly traded school. Look, UtA has done a nice job of learning and adopting our style of play, and the result are tough, close physical battles that are fun to watch. Yes, fun to watch, but there is clearly a better program. And that is with the Mavs having all the top-tier facilities and D1 experience. When we catch up to them on those fronts, and catch up we shall, I really don’t see this being much of a rivalry at all. Two teams that don’t like each other? Sure. Rivalry? We’re not there yet, and we may never be.

RE: WAC VEGAS!
UTA has played Ye Tarleton since 1965, with a record of 9 wins and 5 losses. Your 4 game winning streak was impressive, but 2 point wins are hardly dominant. No, dominance would be ACU having a 22-10 winning record over UTA, including a streak of 12 wins against us in the 60s. You're probably right about UTA-Tarleton not really becoming a rivalry. You guys will exit the WAC as soon as a football conference invites you. And we will too, if we ever get FB.

RE: WAC VEGAS!
The WAC is turning out to be a very competitive conference for basketball as was expected. I would like to expand that to football as well and cannot forget those past times of ACU and "Arlington State" battling on the turf. Glad to see UTA and Tarleton moving up the ladder in basketball, that is for sure. We need to join you guys. BTW, UTA and ACU are battling right now in baseball. UTA won yesterday 12-11 in cold weather, and today ACU won 8-7 in even worse, light rain cold weather. I wish we all had a vote for UTA football.
