is very good. They were deadly from 3 last night and Minix is nearly unstoppable. They will have a massive “home” court advantage. Large and very loud band. Large and loud student section. Huge group of fans with possibly more driving in today. Still we have a talented and experienced group of guys. If Mitchell is able to play it should be a heck of a game.

And I believe they can get there. They deserve to be there and they deserve the chance to be champions.

Half-court offense isn’t cutting it right now. We need to get down low for better shots. If that’s not possible, Defense needs to press them into speeding up the game.

Almost got ugly but we had a good run of our own and are only down 32-27. It feels like we’re just one step behind when the game goes half-court. Looks like we aren’t being aggressive enough to the bucket when the game goes slow and are settling for mid range shots that aren’t all falling.

Kinda interesting that this has feels to the 2016 championship game when ULM smacked us in the first half. But will this team and coach come back and get them back? Let’s see…

Well it was a good year. Disappointing ending. Just couldn’t control the game and didn’t feel like we adjusted at all.

Just wasnt our night and wasnt meant to be. Mitchell must have been banged up because he was a non factor. Good year and I admire their workmanlike season to get back into the thick of thi gs and make it interesting down thr stretch.
Morehead is clearly the better team and program. Maybe we can get there someday.

Yeah they hit some 3 point shots that we couldn't do anything about. They seemed more poised and had a chip on the shoulder in this one. Maybe this game gives us one for next year (praying we can keep most of this squad together).

However, I wished we played more aggressively and tried going to the rim. Those mid range shots can only fall so many times and we missed enough to lose. Not to mention we didn't shoot much at the FT line. I also thought Mitchell was off tonight but mainly because he wasn't a good matchup against that team. It just looked like we played better when we had the smaller lineup.

Not sure if we will be in the NIT but I'm curious to see if we can play in the CBI or something.

Your points are all well taken. I am disappointed but grateful for the season. I just hope like you that we can keep some guys and get a couple of others so we can avoid the collapses of the last 3 season . That is what really hurts the program.

The NIT is out since they changed the rules to “hurt” the little guy. I’d like us to go to the CBI, but do we have the 27.5K it takes to get in? Maybe we can do I quick fundraiser.

Why spend money to play in the cbi when our big man on campus is playing with 1 arm. Time to move on.

Good point, unless our medical staff indicate he can be rehabbed in the next 10 days or so.

Actually, the CBI starts on March 23rd. Two full weeks after he re-injured his shoulder. No idea if he has an injury that can be "rehabbed" fairly quickly. I would like to see our team get a chance to play in a tournament with a 90% healthy Mikhel. I'm still disappointed that our 2019-20 team got screwed out of postseason (at least, the NIT) by Covid.

From an unbearable start to a quality finish. That would be my view of the men's team under Coach Walker this season. On a personal note, my sister and I will be leaving the Our House Shelter on August 4th. Please pray that we'll find a quality place to live and that I'll be back cheering on the Trojans full-time next November. Thank you for your your support during this trying time.
