All of this could certainly change if Florida State and others successfully jailbreak but for now the ACC is scheduled to be 18 teams in both sports with Cal, Stanford, and SMU joining the 15 current full members (Notre Dame included)

In women's basketball, they will play 18 conference games so each team will play only one opponent twice.

The home-away pairings are mostly obvious:
North Carolina-Duke
Florida State-Miami
Virginia-Virginia Tech
Cal-Stanford
NC State-Wake Forest
Syracuse-Boston College
Louisville-Notre Dame
Georgia Tech-Clemson
Pittsburgh-SMU (Pittsburgh draws the short straw. At least Dallas is warm in the winter. Then again, so is half the ACC and most of it is closer than Texas)

They decided in 2025-26 to have everyone play the teams they played away at home and vice versa. Also, "The home and away matchups will flip annually. Current ACC membership travels to Pacific Time Zone once every two seasons." (I wonder if it would have made more sense for the ACC to have teams travel to Cal and Stanford back to back one year and not have to go the following year).

Meanwhile, men's basketball will play 20 games with 3 2 plays.

They made no announcement for 2025-26.

Cal, Stanford, and SMU are all 2 plays to minimize the rest of the others having to travel to California and Texas. Each of the three have one additional 2 play although being a 2 play for one season with one of the three isn't much worse than having to play them on the road.

North Carolina of course got Duke and NC State but their third is Pittsburgh???? I probably would have gone with Virginia.

Duke got North Carolina and their other two are Miami and Jon Scheyer isn't going to want to see this, well I'll let you read it.

FSU - Miami, Clem and UL as home and away. I'd also take GT instead of UL, but the ACC got this part right.

I have a feeling the "third" H&A on the men's side is going to rotate. WF will get Duke and NCS every year while Stanford will drop off. Tech will keep Clemson and ND while BC will drop off, etc.

I don't know if everyone will have two permanents but I'm sure some have two easy natural ones.

I'm sure there are plenty of other threads to discuss the court storming but this could have easily been an easy punishment to have Wake Forest play Duke once in 2025 and at Cameron and make a statement. Do Duke and Wake Forest "have" to play twice every year? I'm sure Scheyer would appreciate not having to go to Winston Salem at least one year.

Speaking of, does FSU need to go to Wake...ever?
