Baseball!
I realize it's a niche sport here, but it's a bigger deal in the south. Baseball is a little more watchable than it used to be with the pitch clock starting last season.

Next Saturday (3/3/24) FSU(6-0), MSU(2-5), Illi(2-5), WMU(6-2) will play a tournament in Greenville, SC. FSU struggled last season, but against sub-par competition they have looked good so far.

RE: Baseball!
High School baseball is bigger in the Midwest/North than most people realize. The state of Indiana has tons of high school talent. Look at past Vanderbilt rosters when they won national titles and you'll see a lot of players from up here.

There is a kid this year from my wife's high school (John Glenn) that is a top ten recruit. Unfortunately, he's headed to Auburn. Teams need to find ways of keeping kids at home up here.

MLB hurts the excitement for college baseball in these parts, but it's still a decent crowd when I hit Ohio University games.

FSU and Illinois looked like a good game through 6 innings. FSU plated 4 in the 7th to put it away.

In the top of the 4th (FSU vs Illi), there was nearly a peak of nearly 3,600 watching the Live stream, I went to bed with FSU up 7-0 to find out this morning Illinois had tied it at 7 before FSU pulling away.
