You Bet... great game as ACU takes down GCU 79-73. Love it that our Texas corridor beat them twice. Texans and Wildcats played great games.

RE: WAC MEN’S BASKETBALL WEEK #16
Yes they did RCI! Congrats to the Wildcats on a great win today against the Lopes! My Texans FINALLY took down Cal Baptist!!! First time we have beaten them since joining the WAC. Coming into this year we had not beaten CBU or Seattle, now we have gotten both! I had a feeling we were going to win going into the game but we played poorly most of the first half. The Wildcats have really turned it around lately as it looked as if they were not going to even make the tourney last week. Now it looks as if they will overtake Utah Tech for the last spot. I am so impressed with the Texans this year and hope they keep it up in the future. Our 2 Stars are seniors ( Gaddy and Smith) but hopefully we can retain them for another year ( covid year) our 3rd best is Innocenti and he is only a Freshman but has potential to be really great. Our other 2 starter are good. Barnes is undersized but very quick and a very good player. Williams our other starter is a jr and is another key cog in the puzzle. Our bench does not have a lot of depth but if we can pick up a few good players for next year we will be really dangerous.

The WAC standings have really turned into an interesting group. GCU has shown its vulnerability. I don't think that any team is safe in the tournament. Hopefully, whoever wins, can keep it going in the NCAA and isn't too beat up.

Anyone else hear GCU's coach complain about the WAC officiating in Texas?

Hard to stomach that after what I saw GCU get away with in Nacogdoches and Arlington.

Yep, after what teams have had to deal with in Phoenix for a long time, his hypocrisy is hysterical. Now, Our WAC officials have been horrendous for most of the season, but that wasn't the reason they lost in Texas. The GCU coach needs to deal with it... I can't wait for them to be taken out of the tourney.

I heard the NIT changed its rules and now most of the teams that get in will be from the P6. Very few will be from the mid majors. They are shutting the door on everything and making it harder and harder for the mid majors inFB and BB. I looked at the "braketology" for the NIT and was like what the %^$#%$# ! They need to expand the Tourney and NIT instead of shutting out the mids.

I have never been one to harp on the NIT, or most any other Tourney, on that it gives teams extra playing time and exposure. Still, the NIT simply doesn't have the prestige to be making such moves.

Saw the quotes and I am looking for their post game video with the coach. It takes a day or two to show up on Twitter/X.

It just makes him look like a poor loser and whiner. The officials travel all over the WAC and are used by multiple conferences. GCU got beat, move on.

I firmly believe that GCU could have two to four more losses if the officiating were better balanced.
