Please (anyone) list the players we've signed for next year if you can. Also list those we are looking to add. Thank you.

https://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/uab This page shows all of our offers sent out. I'm not sure if we are still going after HS kids for this class but we had 5 local kids at the Memphis game that are '25 & '26

I think we're mainly going after Deng Majak 6'11 200lbs from Indian River State College to fill the other big man roster spot

Do we lose anyone else to graduation that plays significant minutes besides JD?

But they both should still have one year of eligibility if they want to stay.

Everyone is eligible to come back except JD, so we have his scholarship and James White's to fill

Someone to fill JD’s spot and a legit PG would be nice…

@TJBScouting
UAB assistant Phil Pearson was in today to see 6'5, unsigned senior Isaiah Washington of Winston-Salem Christian.

@EFEL_UAB
2024 guard. Reportedly has offers from West Virginia, Michigan, VCU, East Carolina, and others. Seems as though UAB is a later entrant into his recruitment

We have the legit PG coming already from JUCO. #3 Juco player and #1 PG Jabori McGee. Could be misspelling that

Wasn't Satterfield considered a top pg out of high school? Is he still with the team?

Not sure about the highly rated part, but he is a PG. I think he was a 3 star recruit.

The future should be ok at PG with McGhee and Satterfield even if Gaines doesn't come back. Our last scholarship should go to a big unless we think we have more than one more spot to fill. I think we should expect Shaver to be more of a contributor next year, but I don't think he'll be ready to start so we need a true center ready to play starter minutes.

According to his bio, Satterfield was 33 in point guard rankings nationally. Thats pretty high. I agree another low post big man would be good. Just needs to be solid. Garbage baskets, rebounds, hard fouls, tough, etc. However, id still love to add another consistent outside threat to pair with Johnson. That could really open things up for Yax and allow Gaines or whoever to do some other things .

RE: Malique Ewen
Still need to sign a big guy capable of coming in and starting, but I am very optimistic about Shaver being one of the most improved players in the league next year. That is assuming he stays healthy and goes on the JD offseason workout program. He basically hasn't been healthy since high school. But even in his limited minutes, he shows soft hands, a good court sense and the ability to bang around and take up space. I still think there is all-conference potential in there waiting to be put into motion.

I hope EG comes back if he wants to. His best basketball is still ahead of him, and I'd like to see him play it at UAB.

We have several players that need to go on the JD workout program. If Gaines wants to play beyond UAB he needs to put on about 20 pounds of muscle. Coleman could benefit greatly from adding some muscle as well. Even Yax can get stronger. OK, how about everyone use a strength and conditioning program this summer. LOL. Also maybe shoot 500 jump shots a day. You can't tell me that a kid can't become a solid shooter. Maybe some won't become great shooters but anyone can improve significantly.

Gaines adding some weight and strength is critical to him improving as a player and will be paramount if he’s trying to play professionally.
