As an App State grad I'm jealous of the weather Georgia Southern enjoys in February and March and how that positively affects the Eagles' baseball program. Hosting Maryland, Georgia Tech, and Campbell at home early. Compare that to App State playing 19 straight on the road...it's a tough way to start every season.

I am jealous of any team that beats USM in any sport. I carry a lot of jealousy these days.

I was thinking the same thing. There is a reason some of the MAC schools still hate us. Those early days on the MAC Board (name is escaping me) there was some pretty arrogant Herd fans, who thought the ride would never end.

I get what you are saying and will admit some of our fans are insufferable. With that said, the established SB fans were not giving us credit at all, in any sport. All we heard was basically this isn't the CAA and the growing pains will be something we'll have to deal with. We knew we were ready, otherwise we'd have moved to the SB instead of Coastal a decade ago (we turned down the opportunity back then and the SB moved to their next choice). We most definitely would have had a tougher time establishing our teams had we moved earlier. Due to being poked, we have done way more strutting that we should have. The one thing you can count on is we are not as unbearable in person as we appear as an incognito poster.
