Southern Miss with the road dub a Coastal. Still missing a couple of starters so glad our depth is gaining experiences and still getting some wins.

we tried to pull a 'condom' (lmfao) with an 18 pt. lead ... #cherioOl'shantyCleers
we can (not to be confused with should) make noise in this tourney in consecutive years...
@goJ-Lad&Buzzards
edit: seriously, if we get Hart and the pygmy back, we're primed going into a treacherous final three games before the conference tourney...

Crowley and Arnold were a combined 5-for-19 and we still won on the road. This team’s definitely hitting a stride. Hopefully its peak is still about 6 weeks out.

Mo needs to shoot more treys when he can plant first/stroke vs. stroke/motion ... his stroke when he squares is deadly ... same with Ivory....

Those guys did not shoot it well, but they each had 7 assists and combined for 10 rebounds.

The ball wasn't even in play at that point. If you're players are weak enough to get goaded into a flagrant deadball foul right in front of the ref then we'll take it. Not that it mattered but I'm sure Byington wasn't too happy.
I watched an episode of The Bear then went to bed after halftime so I didn't see it.

To put it into perspective, after looking at the replays, your announcers called it "a little shove, and a big dive."
In post game Byington publicly said he wants an explanation from officials. He said he would have had no problem with a technical on that, but that after the flop (his words) the actual ejection came when our player calmly walked towards the bench, refusing to engage again and your player followed him all the way, past those who were trying to keep him separated.
Edwards never once looked at him or said anything to him after the initial push. That play and call was Dave Paulsen GMU level weak sauce.

Lol it's funny how much this bothers you. Your player shoved ours, get over it? JMU fans are softer than pillows (and if that quote from Byington is correct, him too as well.)

ODU players don't whine out their asses at every opportunity, so I don't see the correlation.

Angry Red Dogs vs Red Hot Chilli Peppers tonight in Lafayette. Hopefully we don't get dominated in the post as bad as what happened 2 weeks ago.

Our former basketball coach who, when bumped by a UCF player running up the sideline (very light contact) summoned his best Redd Fox heart attack motion says to hold his beer….

He was just paying Edward's sister a compliment, guy needs to learn to control his emotions. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

It's probably part of a larger conversation, but I do hate the instigate/flop, instigate/flop, instigate/flop strategy that has taken over many sports. To me, that is the very definition of soft. It is admitting you can't win, and rather than competing, you try to water down the game.
And I hate that leagues have said they want to root it out (soccer adding replays on cards, nba issuing technicals for it, etc.), but in real time, teams still get rewarded for doing it.
To be clear, I'm obviously not talking about selling a charge or any "basketball play;" I'm talking about the part that tries to prevent teams from actually playing basketball.

I'm very interested in that game tonight. Ark State loves to shoot the 3 and UL is the best in conference games so far at defending the 3.

Well then you're venting on the wrong incident because the ball was out of bounds and the ref had blown the whistle when the foul was committed. Nobody was playing basketball when your player clearly pushed ours out of anger. Could he have kept his feet? Yeah maybe, but if you're OK with selling a charge then certainly you don't have a problem with him going to the floor in this scenario. That's not a "flop" regardless how hard he was pushed. He got in Edwards head and it worked. Your boy needs to run some bleachers until he learns to control his emotions and not be so easy to rattle.
