I know we're not quite to the halfway point of the MAC season yet, but if I had a vote for MAC Coach of the Year this year, Central Michigan's coach would get it! What a job he's done. Amazing!

Miami beat Akron on another buzzer beater( 3rd time in the last 6 weeks) by Darwishii Hunter. Tribble made a driving layup with 13 seconds left to tie it up, Miami inbounded to Hunter and he kept it till he hit a jumper just inside the three point arc with 1 second left. Despite Akron playing 6-7 Freeman and 6-9 Hunter and 6-8 Ali, they had a hard time handling Mirambeaux as he went 7 for 9 from the floor.

In our first MAC game of the year, Miami had our starting point guard Ipsaro, our backup point guard, and our starting center Morris all injured. Ipsaro and Morris have tried playing a few times since then with little success, but Saturday for the first time they both were healthy and looked like the same guys we had back in December. That was the team I thought I was going to be watching when MAC play started. Remains to be seen if we can maintain that level as we visit Kent and Ohio this week.

Miami looks pretty good with the size they have to throw at teams inside.

Agree on Miami !!
They have that 7 foot kid that will only get better and that 6-8 310 lb. bruiser inside !!
They are now, and will be very tough, come tournament time !!
