Still think we win had Walton been able to play 2nd half. He was shooting the ball well in 1st

The best QB on a lot of teams is the back up, until he starts then the best QB on a lot of teams is the back up.

Walton played vs our other two losses.
We would have won if so and so was not hurt in basketball is similar.

We lost because we are not elite defensively any longer. Price to pay if you recruit offensive players from teams that do not play defense.

It's all correctable. Defense is about hustle, rebounding is about heart.
It's hard to average offensive players great offensive players.
It's much easier to make great defensive players out of average defensive players.

UTSA won, 89-88. Tulane's Super Bowl win emptied their emotions.

The AAC is the worst of both worlds. Every team is good enough to beat the best teams in conference, but a win by the best teams over the weaker teams does little to move the needle upward and losses devastate.

That loss was a big reason our NET fell again last night. 57 now. We are very close to the computer numbers outweighing our resume. If we fall into the 60s in the NET and KenPom that is going to be a problem. 54 in KenPom as of now.

This is a broken record but we really need to start stomping the **** of teams. The next 5 games we need to win but really we need to blow these teams out.

Per KenPom:

5 point favorite at UAB
15 point favorite against Rice
13 point favorite against Wichita St
10 point favorite at Temple
9 point favorite against Tulane

If we win all of them but just squeak by then we will be looking in the neighborhood of High 60s in KenPom and the NET. At that point, it wont matter as much about our earlier wins. The media will look for any reason to discount us and awful computer numbers will be that reason. We need to get down to the high 30s to low 40s by the end of the regular season. Best way to do that is to blow these teams out.
