Toledo kind of blew it with him. Not going to repeat what I heard because it is second hand. Nothing that was negative toward Toledo. My BIL went to Clay with his father.

They should be better. Heintschel has only played his soph and junior years of HS. You recruit on potential to improve on the tools already observable. Heintschel had an outstanding showing at the Elite 11 Regional QB camp in Columbus - which prompted Pitt to offer. The OC from Pitt was there and was very high on him. Wants a guy that can scramble and throw on the move. Don't understand why Candle or another UT coach was not there.

BTW - Also at that camp were OSU recruits Air Nolan and new 5-star commit for 2025 Tavien St. Clair and current OSU QB Devin Brown. Heintschel grabbed a lot of notice even with those other better known QB's in the camp. Apparently Pitt is a little nervous about being able to hold on to his commitment and is staying in constant contact. they hope he remains a 3-star.

Toledo had a QB commit at the camp as well - Walter Moses from Perry HS who is listed at 6'4" and 190. He was also offered by BG/Loeffler among others. I didn't find out if Toledo had any coaches at the camp. I would hope so.
