Forget Stephenville, I'm staying in town and watching the women...

Texans beating the Wildcats in Stephenville about like the Wildcat women beat the Texans in Abilene. The men's team just seems devoid of effective offense or defense. Texans playing well.

Glad we can make it close but the result in Stephenville was still what I expected. Tarleton has gotten better and we have gotten worse. Happy the ladies are finally playing at a high level.

UVU has got to be the softest team in the WAC this season.

Free Poster Night at Wisdom!
https://x.com/coachLmihelich/status/1748...96526?s=20

Really cool to see us pull out some pick & roll last night leading to some thunderous dunks! Been way too long.

Gaddy vs Simmons didn’t disappoint. Gaddy fouled out and Simmons got ejected. Lots of pushing and kicking and shoving and cussing…just like old times! Can’t wait to see ACUs response at home next week to the physical abd verbal abuse they endured inside Wisdom. Gonna be a rough n’ rowdy one for sure!

OK, crawled out from under the bed and wiped my nose. Congratulations to UTA on beating us very solidly. It was not close.

I guess more artwork is in order. This time modern photography.

Frankly, I don't know what has gotten into our guys. We were comfortably pursuing mediocrity and then suddenly started winning. Cudos to the Vaqs for never giving up, but UTA was sure enough a buzz saw on Thursday. Thanks for the art work!

We always had the skill. Sometimes it’s about playing together to see how everyone fits. Hard to beat UNT, Texas Tech, Texas-Austin and then Tarleton and SFA on the road (especially when your hand-picked crew misses an obvious foul that puts your best player on the bench for a few games).

Today will be a test since they have now played well away from CPC.

I was thinking about doing this thing at the game.

I will say, UTRGV is one piece away from being a conference contender. Elijah Elliot is a legit talent. He’ll win a game or two of the Vaqueros on his own at some point this year.

ACU beats UTA 78 to 67, but wow, what a physical game. Poor officiating again. Players actually had the arms over other players, holding them, something you could not do in a football game. The Wildcats played one of their better games. UTA is very, very physical, and hard to get open shots from. ACU played one of their better games, especially in the first half. The second half was a slugfest. UTA will beat a lot of good teams in my opinion, they are tough and swarm to the ball.

Any ACU fans heard what was said which sent Simmons off Thursday night at Tarleton?

It was a nice crowd at Moody today and they really got into it. I hope to see it that way more often. I didn't see very many from UTA unfortunately. It was a very physical game indeed. UTA fought hard and caused us to turn the ball over a lot. I agree that the officiating of these WAC crews continues to be just completely embarrassing. We walked away with the win and will take it for now. I think we have a way to go before I would call it one of our better games but happy for the guys. They needed this, very badly.

Not me, I stayed in Abilene and couldn't hear anything on the video feed that day. No one here has said anything. I know he got angry again today, but glad it didn't go anywhere. He kept asking the ref why a foul was called on him at one point and the ref just ignored him.

I so thought we were done and then a great comeback.

Great win Texans.

Wins on the road in the WAC are going to decide who gets second.

Pretty amazing comeback, well done Texans. UTRGV is one of those inexplicable teams. It seems like they have amazing talent and just need to get some winning momentum. Closing out a win is always tough, especially if you change your pace of play too soon. I don't know how the Texans turned the tide, but they are very talented and have made that momentum shift this year.

Pretty sure it was -24 at one point, -15 with under 10:00 remaining. Once again our much smaller (TOUGHER) motley crew of a team hustles and grinds its way to win. Man, when Tarleton finally gets some size and depth to compliment our intensity and hair-on-fire style of play, we’re gonna be dangerous. Interesting stat: Tarleton 1-11 from beyond the arc, while UTRGV hit (11) 3’s. Very difficult to close out a 2nd-half comeback like that without hitting/matching 3’s! 04-cheers

Pretty obvious now we’re RS Kevin Paul, just hope he doesn’t duck out in the portal this off-season!

I’m good with the redshirt. There was no cast or bandage on his hand last night.
