Love transitive properties.

8-10 years ago EKU upset Miami (The U) 72-44. A month later Miami goes to Duke and beats them by 28. The next day Seth Davis from CBS tweeted "Does this mean Eastern Kentucky is 56 points better than Duke?"

I think some people tend to view teams in a static way, as if every team always stays equally good or bad throughout the entire season. There are, of course, a number of factors that can shift from one game to another. Player motivation. Injuries. Fatigue. And so on. It certainly keeps things interesting in college sports.
