Dabo’s buyout is only $7.5 million, hardly a road bump for Bama.

Dabo would be an absolute lunatic to take that job immediately after Saban retires. Another casualty to the NIL era. Roy Williams, Coach K, Wright, Boeheim and now it moves over to football with Coach Saban. No on wants to deal with recruiting and re recruiting.

Folks also forget that there is some history between a few of the ptb and Dabo at Clemson that was not all sunshine and roses. Not all water goes under the bridge.

RE: Saban Retiring At Bama
I posted earlier in this thread just to give Clemson peeps a little jab.

I don't see Dabo leaving for Bama.

Or, I'll put it this way. If Dabo is the next head coach at Alabama, they've missed on a couple of people. Not that I don't think Dabo couldn't do the job and do it well. Just that some of the shine he had has rubbed off.

I don't think Clemson has anything to worry about, honestly.

Nick Saban is also 72 so maybe that's got something to do with it.

Lanning is not happening.

I think Bama would want Norvell more than Dabo.

No doubt age is a factor. It also further supports the notion that I presented. Great coaches who see the changing landscape and not wanting to deal with it. Every coach listed still can coach at a high level. It was the changing landscape that provided to extra motivation to retire.
