I mean...he's playing 17 minutes a game at Akron...
Ultimately though, nothing his mom says means anything at all. Burno didn't recruit her little man and I'm sure he hears all about a lack of respect and how unfair it is and how amazing Montgomery is and how every decision he makes is the right decision.
Whatever. He's a bench player playing bench minutes averaging 4 points a game. If he's so valued at Akron, why isn't he doing better?
And, not for nothing but...he'd be starting at NIU right now with the way our roster is depleted.
Edit: One more point about Thornton...
20-21: Under Montgomery, Thornton played in 17 games, started 3, played 24.5 minutes and averaged 5.4 points
21-22: Under Burno, Thornton played in 29 games, started 26, played 29 minutes a game and averaged 8.1 points.
22-23: Under Burno, Thornton played in 30 games, started 17, played 29 minutes a game and averaged 8.8 points.
23-24: At Akron, Thornton has played in 14 games, started 1, played 17.8 minutes a game and is averaging 4.1 points.
I'm glad his momma is happy with all of the respect he's getting at Akron.
