Rollins? Easy explanation: 0-5 and getting killed on the defensive boards, plus his two offensive boards led to zero subsequent points or assists. At one point I texted a Toledo friend watching the game “why is Rollins still in there?” though he came out shortly thereafter and didn’t return. He can be very productive, but he was a liability last night. Happens to everyone.

I assume you’re talking about the Toledo game, not the EMU game.

FWIW he has a taped up finger on his shooting hand and was shaking that hand after his last missed layup.

ROLLINS HAS BEEN PLAYING INJURED FOR SEVERAL WEEKS W/BROKEN FINGERS ... he's a 'defensive' player being asked to deliver more offense than he is capable of right now.

SENDY IS NOT THE PROBLEM ... the guys not producing are experienced seniors who at this point really should know how to close out a game with a defensive stop/rebound. The coach got his best post player a layup coming out of a timeout. WTF do you want!!!

Gio ... Sully ... Payton that's three of your four (VCD) most experienced players all under-achieving. Great that Sully can make his 3s ... but his glaring turnovers and lack of D are bigger stats to me. Gio has just lost it. When is the last 'big' game Payton has had?

With all the injuries ('Beak, Rico, Rollins, Moss) you'd think the veteran guys (and Freeman who has played a lot before coming to Kent) would collectively step up. But they have collectively whiffed instead, IMO.

We'll see if they wake up.
