Exclamation 2024 ACC Football Schedule
"The 2024 ACC Football schedule with specific game dates for all matchups will be announced at 9 p.m. on January 31, 2024, as part of ACC Network’s ACC Huddle: 2024 Schedule Reveal."

I thought I'd start a thread where we can post what we know, as well as leaked schedule info. I'll start us out:

Quote:Next season, there will be 11 ACC/SEC regular season football games - 12 if you count Notre Dame:

Saturday, Aug. 31
Miami (Fla.) at Florida
Georgia vs. Clemson (Atlanta)
Notre Dame at Texas A&M
Virginia Tech at Vanderbilt
Saturday, Sept. 7
California at Auburn
Tennessee vs. NC State (Charlotte)
Saturday, Sept. 14
Ole Miss at Wake Forest
Boston College at Missouri
...
Saturday, Nov. 30
Florida at Florida State
Georgia Tech at Georgia
Louisville at Kentucky
South Carolina at Clemson

Ole Miss at Wake Forest

You know, Ole Miss is really an incredibly irascible vajayjay when it comes to scheduling. They were suppose to play Georgia Tech almost 10 years ago. Paul Johnson won the Orange Bowl and crushed Mississippi State in doing so. Ole Miss punted the game back a few years. It's coming up time to play and Paul Johnson once again has a decent team, though his last. The 2016 Gator Bowl champs which punked Kentucky in Jacksonville. Ole Miss delays the game again.

Now it comes around and Ole Miss has Lane Kiffin and Georgia Tech has Geoff Collins and the AD who hired and will be fired with him. They just accept playing the best Ole Miss team in 30 years with the worst GT team in history after getting ducked twice by the Rebels. And now they're going to get the worst Wake Forest team fielded by Dave Clawson, due largely to programs like Ole Miss who mercenary pay away the best players from other programs. They straight up bought 3 of Geoff Collins' old players who then played against him.

I thought 2023 was Wake’s rebuild year, should not 2024 be a bit better?

Kiffin's been begging to be Saban's replacement when he retires. GT isn't the only team Ole Miss has been ducking; they've been ducking Memphis also until the Tigers are really bad!! In conference, UGA used to play Ole Miss on a regular basis, but once it was only one team from the other division, Ole Miss hasn't been on UGA's sched since, even when the divisions were dropped. Lane Kiffin has his eyes on Tuscaloosa, IMO.

Ole Miss played at Georgia this year, losing 52-17 back on November 11th.

That's right. I had forgotten about that game. But it has been awhile since we played Ole Miss, and I'm sure Kiffin can't wait to see the Dawgs vanish from the schedule again.

RE: 2024 ACC Football Schedule
A good chance Hawaii is coming to Syracuse for a week 0 game.

We lost a September date vs Army due to the fallout of them joining the AAC.

Notre Dame needed an FBS opponent too... why didn't they just hook up with you guys?
(I know, I know... scope creep!)

Incidentally, ND and 'Cuse are the only 2 teams specifically needing an FBS opponent.

https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/2024/...-27th.html

Besides Hawaii themselves, other teams which can use the "Hawaii Exemption" to play an extra game include:
* UCLA
* Boise State
* Nevada
* New Mexico
* UNLV
(Oregon already scheduled a 13th game).

RE: 2024 ACC Football Schedule
As of right now BC, Syracuse, FAU, NM State, NW, Notre Dame, SMU, and TCU need games. It is possible WF will need a game because Army still has two games to drop.

Miami demurred playing ND this year so it may be that Syracuse or WF fill that spot and they play it in NYC.

I have heard that Cal might get a week zero game from an ACC school if a volunteer can be found. But since it will be August you will need to take sweater. 04-cheers

Most of the teams you listed don't have an FCS opponent yet, so they can go that route to finish out their schedule.

Wouldn't Cal need a special NCAA exemption to play in Week 0, since they do not play at Hawaii?

The Bay Area isn't cold in August at all, IMO. A light jacket couldn't hurt though. The wind is strong over there, IMO.
