Two good WAC performances today against the SEC.

ACU and Tarleton played Arkansas and Tennessee tough and stayed until the end.

Progress.

Was hoping for a win (or two) but I guess the time is not quite ready... another year or two and I think such wins will happen.

It wasn't even that close! The team literally quit in the first half, humiliated themselves and made the coaches look stupid. Except for Vining and Wilson - and them not very much- the team sounded like they had spent the last two days smoking weed.

It was like a 16-2 run in the first half after UTA tied it that hurt. I’ve rarely seen a team shoot the three as well as the Green did.

I think early on the mavs were shooting at 16% and the green was at 68%..even last week's WAC phenom had a bad night. to me, a person who has played soprts most of his life, it looked like the team was p o'd at something and had decided they didnt want to play.

Bingo. I think maybe Russell is overrated and has caused some kind of split on the team. His amazing zero for seven from 3 point range against Ttech potentially decided that game, plus his two technical fouls the last two games put his value to the team seriously in doubt. Team culture is intangible from where we sit, but IMO something has to change, pronto.

Same with Seattle. They were able to say Key Arena was their home. Then over time the huge facility proved a liability and they only play a couple to a handful of games there a year. Their home court leads to a better environment, but is a sub-par high school facility. It was fine when built over half a century ago, but didn’t age well.

SU played all of their home games at Key Arena before it was completely renovated and taken over by new management. When they were the only tenant with the WNBA's storm. At the time it obviously had the seating capacity, and that extended well into their WAC membership timeline.

I'm not sure exactly what has caused CPA to phase SU out, but I do know originally it was not planned to be like this. SU celebrated the renovations as their future new home.

What makes it even more frustrating is around 2014, the current Redhawk Center was completely remodeled without adding seating capacity. They sunk a lot of money into RC for it to look the way it does now, just a few years before the current situation of CPA happened. Very frustrating because they likely would have expanded the Redhawk Center had they known at the time Key Arena/CPA wasn't going to be a long-term home.
