play along...... it's Kansas, they know basketball, not necessarily football. (okay, the joke was a stretch)

maybe their soccer team could use an expanded field if they need more seating than Rock Chalk Park will hold.

anyway, all joking aside, I was hoping that a Jayhawker would respond and fill us in on the expansion phases.


BTW - how is that Nippert expansion project coming along?

BTW - how is that Nippert expansion project coming along?
Lots of amenities being added both for team and fans, including increasing the room per fan (people have grown since it was built 100 years ago). Construction to be done in phases - reduced capacity for next season, completion slated in time for following season.

This very nice, aesthetically appealing 15 year old facility is being demolished to make room for a larger version of the same thing. It’s a shame Tech couldn’t find some way to save and repurpose it:
