A team that was nearly in the Sun Belt. Back when AState, Louisiana, NIU, and the second most famous football program in Lincoln Parish were in the Big West there were strong efforts to try to play football under the Sun Belt umbrella and all four had signed on. Unfortunately none of USM, Memphis, Tulsa, Tulane, etc., were interested.

I don't know if ArkSt will bring what GS did as far as a crowd but unless they have vastly improved things some thing for ArkSt to prepare for.

Do not stay in downtown Montgomery it is doo doo. Stay in East Montgomery where all the new hotels and restaurants are.

Take hand sanitizer
Get a tetanus shot the facility and bathrooms were dirty AF
Get in the stadium a day early and you might make it in by the 2nd Qtr.

It was so bad last year. Luckily I stayed in East Montgomery and missed out on the restaurants in Montgomery running out of food and beverages.

I stayed in Prattville first time we went. This is trip number three for A-State which makes it our seventh bowl game in Alabama.
