You almost have to use the word "racisim" for an American audience because Americans have been conned into not believing social class exists. That means all social class issues get repackaged as a race issue.

Poor people, living of the lowest value land in any area, get **** on. That is human nature. Where there are no people of color you can still find the white folks who live in the ****** areas. They are in the ****** area because they are poor. God knows I have tried to explain this to otherwise intelligent urban studies students but it is often like talking to a marble table top.

Keeping poor white folk and poor people of color separated is a must in our political system otherwise they will realize that other than some exterior epithelial cells they are in the same boat and outvote the Upper and Upper Middle Class.
