The Cowboys are 5-2. They have a very impressive 76-65 win at VCU (84), but a loss to Western Carolina (128). They also lost at La Tech (94), 71-62. McNeese has three blowout wins against non-D1 schools.

They are much improved from last year’s disastrous 11-23 team. They have a new coach in Will Wade (Chattanooga to VCU to LSU), but I believe he is suspended for the first ten games of this season.

This can be a blowout win if we play up to our potential. That said it will be under 10.

McNeese State’s point guard/shooting guard, Shahada Wells 6-0 184, played the last two years at TCU. He scored 37 points against Western Carolina on Nov. 18th. His next highest scoring game was 23 at VCU.

He'll have 8 points, and the guy that hasn't hit a three all year will have 5 of them.

“McNeese State forces 16.4 turnovers per game and comes up with 11.9 steals per contest. Taking care of the basketball is imperative for the Blazers, who average 12.3 turnovers per game.”

I’m not saying UAB shouldn’t be concerned, but those stats are compromised by playing the likes of Biblical Studies (26 turnovers), Champion Christian (21 turnovers), and LeTourneau (19 turnovers).

Lord, help us

Looking at their schedule I think they are the opposite of us. Not tough competition and could possible hit a wall against us. My heart hasn’t enjoyed the ride but we have faced so many late game situations and comebacks where other teams may fall apart
