Coaching Changes
Coaching changes I'd like to see for next season.

Retain

OC/QB-Kosh
RB- Davis
OL-Mendelson
WR- Reid
DL- Denham
ST- Popovich

Fire

DC/LB Esposito
CB- Celiscar
TE- Evans
S- Cooper

A new coaching staff should never retain more than two
coaches. If we want to be serious about winning fire the rest of Tim Lester's staff and let's get headed in the right direction. The last two games were brutal and really pissed me off.

We need to revamp the secondary. It's been terrible for long enough. We need a whole new defensive staff and get back to the basics of Bronco Football. I want us to get back to Scott Shafer defense!!!!!!!

RE: Coaching Changes
Again, our last 2 games had nothing to do with our defense...

Nothing? They couldn't get off the field. That may have had just a little bit to do with it.

RE: Coaching Changes
When the last two games offense nets 227 yards and 5 points per game, the games are lost causes unless the 2000 Baltimore Ravens were secretly inserted into the defensive lineup.

RE: Coaching Changes
Firing your best recruiter when the problem seems to be a lack of impact talent doesn't make sense.

RE: Coaching Changes
2013 is a bit over the top sometimes.

If our offense hadn't disappeared late, those games may have been a bit different. But it did.

Let it ride as is and we'll see after next season if the staff needs changed. But if coach wants to make changes, it is his behind on the line, so I say go for it.

I'm good either way. We need to see some improvement, for sure. Hit the portal hard in addition to regular recruiting. Find some impact guys.

Our last two games were due to OFFENSE, not defense (former Lester DC). Again, it was the Offense with the new OC with the new team. Our D was unquestionably bad 1st half against BGSU, where you could make the argument it still wouldn't be good in the 2nd half if BGSU didn't play conservative due to their big lead -- but our O was going nowhere, and we still held them to solidly under 400 yards.

This is the 1st year with a new team. The great players, and several decent ones, when the HC gets fired (and even if hired away, better have very key coaches staying) -- will leave. Players dissipate Quite readily in the new league construct, so you can't compare even semi-recent history to all this.

Expecting us to be 8-4 on a non-tough schedule, or 7-5 with a not-so-easy schedule would be ridiculous on a 1st year these days as a G5 when you're not at all a consistent a MAC title contending team to start with.

A first year adjustment with a new HC shouldn't scare you about future years when said HC hired was inarguably a good pick from outsiders' perspective. Next year able to get into a bowl (and how we play the game of course) -- is going to be the measuring stick.

An interim just coached NW to 7-5 after 1-11 prior year.

NW plays in the worst division in P5 football.

And Michigan just won six games without HarBo on the sidelines.

Neither of those situations have anything to do with WMU football.

NW played in the same worst division last year as well.
