UTA. We play them on the 25th according to the post. To be fair to us we're down 5 players. IIRC from the radio broadcasts we've played the last 3 games with 8 players.

Tarleton beats Cal St Bakersfield to win the So Cal Challenge (SAND Division) ( Bradley played poorly but beats UTEP to win Surf Division) UTEP looks very aggressive watch out ACU and Seattle!

No as a UTA fan I know better than to count Texas State out. They like to beat up on us. I am sure this will be a good game. I am so glad we continue to play them.

Our previous coach was Joe Golding, now at UTEP, so it will be a fierce battle since Golding is known for his pressing defense, something ACU is trying to recover. It will be reunion time in Moody Coliseum.

Tanner talked about how neither one of them really wanted this game, but it was just the way the scheduling came out. They really don't want to have to play each other, especially with some of the same players in place and in Moody. It will be a very interesting game.

Anyway we are now 0-5 against D1 teams. We haven't gotten closer than 17 points to any D1 team. And next up is GCU.

What, is that a joke? Actually, we do have a young stud 6'10" True Freshman Center injured on the sidelines that's supposed to be our next "face of the franchise" type player. Nobody has seen him play yet so the jury is out. Meanwhile we have a true 4 playing the 5 (Gaddy) who's game is alot like Jonathan Jackson Jr. from a few years back - 6'6" and punches way over his weight in the paint. Gaddy and your #23 should be a nice matchup to watch.

I think the ACU vs UTA match-up should be interesting to open up WAC play. I never take UTA lightly, especially in a year where we aren't playing ACU defense and struggling in the paint. The refs have pretty much taken away the charge, which was one of our bread & butters, for better or worse. So that has only added to our normal high foul count, which is making our aggressive defense harder to play. I kinda think our older guys are too old to play that way now and our newer players aren't up to it.
