RE: Broncos vs. Bowling Green - Season Finale 11/21
Hoping we hit the portal hard. Hoping Taylor also sends the message that the portal is there for current players to leave as well. We need guys that are bought into the program 110%

He looked like he was smiling too much in that press conference too. Making jokes.
I didn't see-hear that all.

RE: Broncos vs. Bowling Green - Season Finale 11/21
My $0.02 which is what it is worth...
I saw far too many guys going through the motions last nite. So much so that you could really see who was playing hard. Many seemed .....disinterested. Tackling? Oh, I'm just going to hit him super hard and hope he falls down. No need to wrap up.
We have no QBs. None. Wolfe can not throw DOWN the field, so it's no wonder the D creeps up because they know what is coming. Of course Wolfe needs protection which our OL can't and didn't provide.
There is obviously a lack of stars on the team, but the general lack of talent is glaring. No speed, no WRs getting separation and no deep threats to stretch the field. So, when you have an absolute stud beast like Kneeland out there, it is easy to see.
Thought our play calling was the worst I've seen this year and that is saying something.
That this team had fought through their limitations earlier this season and won against CMU and EMU gave me hope that they could stay in this game. I really didn't expect to beat BG but thought it would be a competitive game. It got away from them quickly and this is the first time I have seen them appear to quit this season. On senior night, no less.
Not going to make any wild azz predictions about next year, as a lot can happen with the portal and all. However, ending the season with two straight clunkers doesn't give me any warm fuzzies about next season.
There is a lot more I could say but some of it is just venting frustration. I had hoped our meltdown in DeKalb was just an outlier but last night was more of the same.
I still hope for the best from coach Taylor. He's got a lot of work to do in the next 9 months.
