Liberty #22, New Mexico State RV in AP poll
The Flames creep up, the Aggies sneak in.

I’m not sure if the Aggies have ever received any votes in any poll since they were last ranked, many years ago. But if they did receive a few votes at some point, it wasn’t this late in the season.

I seem to remember that after starting the season with wins over NM Highlands, UNM and Arizona St they received votes.

Notice just ONE MAC team in that list of ten.

Surely WKU and MT are done considering that option.

Also Hope Delaware and UMASS do not go to the MAC over us (if they change their current conferences).

This will be a rare game not cheering for y'all. Need NMSU as highly regarded as possible if we win this week & against them next week.

With NMSU's win over Auburn it elevated the strength of CUSA and validated Liberty's 11-0 record and its' accomplishment of (currently) running the table on the rest of conference. Jacksonville State was on the verge of doing the same against South Carolina a week earlier if not for a pick-6 on their almost game winning drive.

NMSU received a vote or two early in the 1993 season but yes, first time in a long time.

I also hope we consider adding UMass and Delaware.

I hope more that Las Cruces sells out AMS on Saturday.

Something else I spy with my little eye.....THREE CUSA teams and only ONE Smellbelt team!

It is actually two from the Belt. Just takes a minute to get used to the Dukes being in the SBC.

Have you ever? So, I doubt it. Your fan base is finickier than Miner fans. If the Miners had your record the fans would be hanging from the rafters. We're that hungry for winning football. But, since you'll be on tv I hope you do fill up the place.

Hope NMSU has a full house. Like most of us--they could use the revenue--and support.

Yes silly minor, we have sold out AMS before. Couple of times were to beat you.

Here we go!

Fri - UTSA (8-3) beats #23 Tulane (10-1)
Sat - Navy (5-5) and beats SMU (9-2)
Sat - #25 Liberty (11-0) beats UTEP (3-8) comfortably
Sat - NMSU (9-3) beats Jax St. (8-3)
Next Week - #25 Liberty (12-0) soundly beats NMSU (10-3)
Next Week - UTSA (9-3) beats #23 Tulane (10-2)

And there you have it. CUSA will be in the drivers seat. 04-cheers

I would be shocked if a 2 loss AAC team gets the nod before an undefeated Liberty. Let’s say SMU wins, they would have lost to a 10-2 Oklahoma team by 17 and a 5-7 TCU team by 17. They are saying Liberty hasn’t played anyone but is that any better than getting beat by a below average P5 by 17? I just cannot see the argument if Liberty wins easily the next two weeks.

Except that Liberty's SoS is 133. Do you know how many FBS teams there are? Facts matter
