It’s not over yet...
I believe Jordan Travis’s injury is all but official at this point that his football career is done at FSU. The silver lining is that Jr. Tate Rodemaker is a good, experienced, capable QB.
When FSU signed him in the 2020 class I was actually more excited about him than Chubba Purdy. Tate was a 3* from Valdosta, Ga., he was the coaches son and the kids that play high school football in Southern Ga. punch above their weight class, so I knew that Tate was not your average 3* and deep down I knew he would be starting for FSU someday.
This is now his second come from behind victory in his career (2022 @UL was the other). He now has a near full warm up game under his belt to work out his timing and chemistry with the starters on offense to get ready for the Gators, UL and the next opponent.
The scouting report on him is that he is taller than Jordan Travis and has a higher release point and has more zip on his throws. Though not at all a bad athlete, he is not as elusive as Travis and is not likely to take off and run. His accuracy looks every bit as good as Travis’s, but lacks the soft touch on his throws that allows his receivers to easily catch the ball.

Funny, I commented to my son yesterday that Rodemaker was really zipping his passes into tight windows.

He needs the zip because he's not as quick with the progression so far. Who knows? Undefeated FSU was going to be 7 point underdogs in the CFP even with Travis. I always have to remind myself that in September 2021 FSU started 0-4 with a loss to Jax State. It's still a recovering program from Jimbo/Taggert/Covid. Just trying to enjoy it as much as possible.

Garrett is right. If we hadn’t knocked Travis out of the game, Louisville may have won that game. If we had beaten FSU, Satterfield may have gotten his extension and Louisville wouldn’t be 10-1 this season.
Strange how things work out.
