UAB (93) at MT (129), Tuesday, Nov. 21st

The Blue Raiders are 2-1 on the season, but soon to be 3-1 after hosting Milligan on Saturday. Their best win was an OT victory over Stephen F. Austin (99), 67-62. It was a costly win as they lost star guard, Camryn Weston, to a torn ACL.

Their only loss was to Western Carolina (130), 66-64. WC also has a victory at Notre Dame (208). The Fighting Irish appear to be bad this season.

All of MT’s games have been home games so far. They play a slow tempo game this season, similar to North Texas. Their tempo is ranked 332 out of 362 teams. North Texas sits at 360. UAB’s tempo is ranked 48th.

KenPom has it UAB 69 - MT 70.

This should be a fun game to drive up during the week and attend.

kind of like the Navy game...travel to see domination....and do some sightseeing....

There’s not much sight seeing in Murfreesboro, TN.

I won’t be surprised with any loss by any margin the rest of the year after what I saw last night.

I don’t predict us to win this one, but wouldn’t be surprised by yet another razor thin margin and a close victory, either.

Man our KenPom rating took a (deserved) hit last night. Need to correct that and get a win in Murfreesboro.

Rightfully so. We looked like a sub 200 team last night. If the basketball gods were fair and just, we would’ve lost that game.

if still open Slick Pig BBQ is good place to eat prior/after the game & next to MTSU campus

Seemed like $15 for select seating, not sure how much General admission is.

Nope - we just shouldn’t have to wonder if the team will show up with its head up its ass game to game and 4 years into AK being our coach.

There are two on here who would complain about being welcomed aboard first & sitting in 1st Class on a flight. Let’s see if we can guess who I’m referring to. Lol

I appreciate you saying that. I really only want the very best for my team. I’m hypercritical and too analytical and pessimistic sometimes. I want my boy Gaines to ball TF out and take us to the final four this year. I’ll rub AKs shiny ass bald head with some turtle wax if that happens.

Middle Tennessee beat Milligan this past Saturday, 88-62.

I suspect the player to watch from MT is Elias King (6-8 215). He is a threat inside and out. He is 12-25 (48%) from three. He is averaging 15 points/game. He also has 8 steals on the young season. I’d have Coleman defending him as much as possible.
