Don't think it was about not having other options from what I understand. As 007 noted there were some things in the background that made the whole process difficult.

If he plays I think he will do well as Kinne is a good QB coach, but I think there are still some balls up in the air for that to even happen. I don't think they are impossible to overcome, but there is work to do and I will leave it at that.

If you played as well as he did, you would have thought some P5 offers were coming, and honestly, he would have deserved them.

Not sure what his JMU issues are but he's already enrolled and will participate in spring ball.

Is he in as a grad transfer? He was still a senior at JMU even though he had been in school for a while.

He's going on 25 and his 4th school in his 7th year, so he's not new to the transfer portal.

I have been saying it for a while now, Texas State has Texas money just like UT and aTm. I don't know if this is a case of McCloud taking the highest bidder, but watch out for Texas State. This is pro football without salary caps. It IS the wild west and Texas knows how that plays out.

No doubt. Yesterday and pedigrees now mean zilch. What greens can you put in my pocket is all that matters. Tis the new world of college football.
