Why bench Toney, what has he done wrong. He was 2-5 and plays great defense. His block was a key play near the end of the game.

Didn't say he did anything wrong.

We need another wing who can get going quicker from tipoff. Should be off the bench defender for the quicker scoring guards. We should've finished with the guards in double figures this game.

I have no issue with Shaver also... should have 10-15 mins to keep fouls off the big 3 bigs especially Davis. Shaver will get better, we've stunned too many bigs already in our history. He'll alot of people crapped on Nate Darling and he's actually the last UAB/NBA guy. Can AK figure out an 11 man rotation? Dunning got the minutes this game.

RE: Clemson Tigers
Shaver was OK in spot minutes.

Playing him for basically the last 10 minutes of the game without much of a break in crunch time in a super important game is an indefensible coaching decision.

Keeping two of your most important players in the game with 4 fouls with over 10 minutes left in the game are indefensible coaching decisions.

AK lost that game for us.

I know...

But he has to learn or play.

Let's be honest he's probably not played any meaningful basketball in two years. Had multiple lower leg injuries if I'm not mistaken. He will get better with minutes. Loss stings because it was a P5. Don't think White or Dunning guard Hall better. We decided on 9 guards so this is to be expected.

RE: Clemson Tigers
Some observations.

1. The four returning Blazers have come back to play. Two games in, two of them have played their best game in green and gold.

2. The nine new guys are not ready. There are some flashes, but they are not yet fully integrated (there was notable improvement since the Bradly game). Pick any three to play at Butta's level and we can be very good.

3. The Cartel team will always get referee help at a crucial moment. Just write it into the game plan. It's not an excuse, it's just a condition of play like the arena lighting. (Worst I've ever seen didn't involve us - waiting for our Houston NCAA game in Pittsburgh, you could see the exact moment when the crew decided that Illinois would not be beaten by Chattanooga, by any means necessary.)

These are my observations.
