Yeah, I'd like to see Cincy play again. They looked decent, but I couldn't help myself from giving their players some "opponent nicknames".
In the first half their center looked like a co-magnum throwback wearing cement shoes, but he did better in the 2nd half (Viktor "Grog" Lokhin - I wanted to name him Lump (Goonies). Then they would substitute him with Manute Bol. That dude is a project.... he can block some shots but is a total work in progress beyond that.
Their PG Jizzle Mo' Sizzle can sure play. Lots of role player contributors.

dude, just play along, you know what was meant.... cro-magnon, there is that better?
you know what, on second thought, if you need clarification on something, then you just speak right up.
Get it right the first time and you won't need to correct yourself. Here's an additional clarification: modern humans, even including careless, ill-informed folk like you, are classified as Cro-Magnon, so trying to insult someone by asserting that they appear to be Cro-Magnon really misses the mark.

Ah, I get it. You were a classmate of Dexter Manley.

RE: ***Nonconference B12 Basketball Gamethread ***
For fear of dragging this thread back on topic, looks like my Sooners finally got knocked off their undefeated perch by North Carolina. I was pretty sure that game was going to be a big ask even before the season started. But there was just no way the basketball gods were going to let a blue blood like that have four losses in their OOC. Oh well. The next two should be pretty manageable for us, and then it's off to the ***Conference B12 Basketball Gamethread***.

Sooners didn't play their best game last night, but lots to be excited about in Norman on the hardwood this year.

actually, no you still don't get it.
I and was long gone by the time Dexter was terrorizing the FB field.
and no, I did not take the classes that Dexter took to stay eligible.
I presume that you're just trying to be viscous, because you're not funny, and know nothing about Manley's situation. Even his own family members said his claims were not true.

Agree. Also, playing UNC in Charlotte isn't exactly a neutral site LOL.

Depends what you mean by good. They'll be mid tier MVC team. They are the kind of team that can beat you if you don't play well. We've seen plenty of top 25 teams this year slip up against teams in that 90-190 range.

well, I meant since you play them today, are they going to make a game of it? Do you guys think you have this one since it's at home?
I suppose you said, they may beat you if you don't play well?
None of the rest of the games looked that interesting, but this one caught my eye, so I thought I'd ask.

Evansville, even without their two leading scorers, led UC 40-32 at halftime. UC was booed off the court at the half.
The Bearcats woke up in the second half and outscored Evansville 44-18 to win 76-58.
Playtime is over for UC. We'll find out soon enough how they do against a steady schedule of challenging competition.

Even in the second half there were too many times when one guy was dribbling and four were standing around instead of moving and cutting.

Looks like we now need a B12 Conference Basketball thread....
Looking a little ahead for the new members, UCF has a very, very tough stretch of games coming up, Cincy is next with a slew of ranked teams in the near term, BYU and Houston have it relatively easy until late in January.
my Cowboy's open with ranked Baylor, then have KU in a couple of weeks.
It should be an interesting start to the conference

Yeah, four of our next five opponents are ranked.
@ Kansas State (unranked)
vs. Kansas (#2 in both AP and Coaches Polls)
vs. BYU (#12 in both polls)
@ Texas (#20/#22)
@ Houston (#3/#3)
That has to be the toughest stretch of games in UCF men's basketball history. I think we've played back-to-back ranked teams at some point, but four top 20 teams in a row is unheard of. Our defense has been very good, but we need to pick it up a lot more on offense really quickly.

5 of the first 6 games for UC in conference are against Top 20 teams. Welcome to the league lol.
2-4 in that stretch would be okay.
