He was a joy to watch. Hated those Carolina teams. The 4 corners was boring, Phil Ford dribbled too much, Kupchak & LaGarde were overly physical…but Walter Davis could do no wrong. During the 1976 Olympic Games, you could see him elevating his game.

Hubert Davis was a star at my northern Virginia high school, but everyone knew that his goal was to play at UNC.
